Autumn Leaf Model Horse Show is a not for profit model horse show. Anyone may apply for entry and there are no age restrictions. Our Beneficiary this year is Friends of Hardy Lake ~ Raptor Center
Parking:
There is a large parking area near the building. You can unload near the door then please move your vehicle to the parking lot so others can unload. If you need assistance unloading, please let us know, we are more than happy to assist you.
Entries:
Entries are submitted on a first come first served basis. We have a limit of 52 entries. We will have a waiting list in the case of cancellations. Each entrant may enter up to 3 models in each class in halter divisions and up to 2 models in performance divisions. Entrants may enter additional models in Halter classes for a small fee of $1.00 per model. Proceeds go to the beneficiary.
Tables:
Each competitor is provided an 8’ table and one chair. If you need an extra chair, please indicate on the entry form. You are welcome to sell hobby related items at the end of you table. Please keep the path between tables clear so others can get through.
Showing/Tags:
Each entry must have a tag attached to the model. The front of the tag must have breed and gender and the back side with the models name and three entrant’s initials. While being judged, tag must have breed & gender side positioned up or the model may be disqualified. Make sure the initials on the tag and the entry form are the same so we can post the results correctly. If you have a tippy model, models may be shown laying down on a protective material. Note: this gives the judge permission to carefully pick up the model for judging.
Rings:
We will have 8 rings running simultaneously. Please keep up with the classes. Each judges table will be identified with a table letter and the class number/name on a stand at the end of the table. The class and table letter will be announced. Once the class is closed, no more models may be added. Please remove models promptly to keep the show running. We will have a pony pound for unwanted models. Don’t want to have to do this. And I have room in my truck for more.
If you have tack changes for performance classes please let us know and we will hold the class for maximum of 5 minutes. If your performance is ready to be judged please place the card we provided at your entry so the judge can begin judging.
Due to the large number of classes to get through, time limits will be used. There will be 5 minutes between halter classes and 10 minutes between performance classes.
Space:
Documentation is encouraged but please limit the size to 8.5” x 11” (normal sheet of paper).
Performance entries are suggested to limit to 18”x30” or “24” x 30” in accordance with NAN Guidelines, however may exceed this as necessary. Please be respectful of all others showing and adjust your entries as possible to ensure all entries have the space they need.
Class Splits:
The show holder or judge may splint, cancel, add or combine classes as needed to make judging easier and for the show to run smoothly.
Judges may choose to split classes if there are greater than 20 entries. Classes with 40 or more entries will be required to split. No class resulting from a split may have less than 10 entries. Judges for Breed and Collectibility/Workmanship may choose to split in different manners or one may choose not to split while the other does.
Example: Breyer Arabians class has 48 entries. Breed judge chooses to split by Stallions and Mares/Geldings, resulting in 2 classes of (22) and (26) respectfully.
Judges may choose to split by any of the following factors: Breed/Type, Gender, Color, Pattern, Mold, Manufacturer, Edition size, Year(s) of Production, Scale, Discipline (performance).
Placings:
Ribbons will be awarded 1st – 6th. At the end of each class sub division, we will have a call back of the first & second place winners for champion and reserve champion Ribbon. An award will be given for the Overall in each division.
Pony Pound:
If someone forgets and leaves a model on the table after a class has been judged and cleared, it may be removed from the table and placed in the pony pound. For a $1 donation, the owner may bail it out. The show committee shall not be held liable for damage or loss of these models.
